About the Doctor |
Dr. Khor Sim Ee is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon. She received her basic medical degree from the National University of Malaysia (UKM). Thereafter, she obtained her postgraduate Master of Surgery (Ophthalmology) from the same university. Prior to joining Tropicana Medical Centre, she was the Senior Ophthalmology Specialist in Hospital Tuanku Jaafar in Seremban. She had served in various Ophthalmology Departments in Malaysia including Sarawak General Hospital, Hospital UKM and Hospital Seremban. With over 15 years of medical experience, she has acquired invaluable skills in the management of a vast variety of ophthalmology related cases in these busy tertiary referral centres. This includes managing general ophthalmic cases as well as more complicated cases in various ophthalmology subspecialities.
She is competent in managing both simple and complicated cataract surgeries. She also performs squint correction surgery, various oculoplastic surgery, other minor ophthalmic surgery (pterygium excision with graft, incision and curettage) and various laser procedures. She is also experienced in handling ocular trauma emergencies.
Besides clinical work, she is also actively involved in the training of medical officers and postgraduate Master’s students. She was appointed as an external supervisor by the Department of Ophthalmology, University Malaya and University Kebangsaan Malaysia for their postgraduate Master’s candidates in Ophthalmology. She was also an honorary lecturer for the International Medical University (IMU) and was entrusted with the teaching of their undergraduates. |
