About the Doctor |
Dr. Manohar received his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College, Manglore University in 1990. He completed orthopaedic surgery training and in Dec 1997 obtained his M.S Ortho degree from University Malaya. Following his gazettement as an orthopaedic surgeon he trained under the supervision of Dato Dr.V.Pathmanathan, a pioneer in hand surgery in Malaysia. In March 2007, he completed his hand surgery fellowship at the Royal Northshore Hospital in Sydney. He is currently working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine & Health Science, University Putra Malaysia. Areas of particular interest include scaphoid fractures and non-unions, wrist pain, wrist instability and problems after distal radius fractures and complex regional pain syndromes. |

About the Doctor |
Dr. Pathmanathan has over 20 years of experience in the field of Hand and Microsurgery. His vast experiences include setting up the first Hand and Microsurgery Department in Malaysia at Hospital Kuala Lumpur in 1990 and performing the world’s first arm transplant in the world recorded in the 2001 Guinness Book of World Records. Having received his professional training in Hand and Microsurgery in the United States, Germany and Japan, Dr. Pathmanathan has also been responsible in the setting up the Hand & Microsurgery Department in Hospital Selayang in 1999 and is currently the Head of the Department. Having performed more than 20,000 hand surgeries and 1000 limb and digit reattachments in his career, Dr. Pathmanathan is now a Consultant Hand & Microsurgeon at Tropicana Medical Centre. |
