Dr. Kwan Keat Leong is a skilled and experienced surgeon who has received extensive training in Malaysia, Japan, France and Hong Kong. His areas of practice include cancer surgery, minimally invasive surgery, endoscopy, haemorrhoids, lumps and bumps, hernia, breast and thyroid surgeries. Dr. Kwan is one of the few surgeons in Malaysia who are able to perform a D2 Gastrectomy for stomach cancer and oesophageal surgeries. Prior to this, he has served as a Consultant Surgeon in the General, Colorectal and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgical Unit in Hospital Kuala Lumpur. Dr. Kwan was also an Associate Professor in UPM and has been invited to speak and chair various local and international conferences. In 2007, he was invited to speak on Gastric Cancer – A Malaysian Experience, in the 16th Asian Congress of Surgery in Beijing. In addition, Dr. Kwan is a co-investigator for the International, Multicentre Registry of Gastric Cancer Treatment Evaluation (REGATE) and a researcher with the Institute of Bioscience. He has been interviewed by local TV and daily on various issues in surgery, cancer and gastrointestinal diseases. Currently, Dr. Kwan is a Consultant General & Gastrointestinal Surgeon at Tropicana Medical Centre. |

Dr. Daniel is a highly skilled surgeon who has served in various hospitals in Malaysia for the past 18 years. He holds special interest in thyroid and breast surgery, mainly cancer, as well as benign breast and thyroid pathology. Dr. Daniel graduated from University Malaya and trained in diverse area of practice which includes gallbladder surgery (gallstone disease), appendicectomy and haemmorrhoid surgery both laparoscopically as well as open technique, lumps and bumps, hernia repair and circumcisions.
Prior to this, Dr. Daniel was the Deputy Head of Department and founding chairman of the Nutritional Support team in Hospital Ampang and lecturer of University Science Islam Malaysia. He has participated in many local and international surgical conferences, organised seminars and public forums on breast cancer and prostate awareness. Today, he is a Consultant General Surgeon at Tropicana Medical Centre. |

About the Doctor |
Dr. Colin Ng is a Consultant General Surgeon with a special interest in Gastrointestinal Oncology (in particular colorectal cancer) as well as endocrine disorders. He is trained in a multitude of subspecialty areas such as breast, endocrine and colorectal surgery. While practicing in England, he was heavily involved in cancer management for breast and colorectal cancers and minimally invasive adrenal and thyroid surgery. In addition, Dr. Colin also conducted research into minimally invasive surgery for colorectal cancers and in particular transendoscopic microsurgery for large polyp disease and possess extensive experience in gastroscopic and colonoscopic procedures. Returning to Malaysia, Dr. Colin lectured and aided in the drawing up of the blue print for the future laparoscopic skills animal operating rooms in University Malaya. Today, he is a Consultant General Surgeon at Tropicana Medical Centre, a member to the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia, Malaysian Society of Colorectal Surgeons and the Malaysian Oncology Society. |

Dr Chan is an amiable Consultant General Surgeon with a Special Interest in Colorectal Surgery and Minimally Invasive Surgery. He has been practicing in Malaysia since 1999 in a multitude of subspecialty hospitals which specialises in Colorectal Diseases and Laparoscopic Surgery.
He is also involved in Colorectal Cancer research and has published and presented papers on Colorectal Cancer, specifically on Sentinel Nodes in early Colorectal Cancer. He was involved in setting up Hospital Sg Buloh as a participating centre in the National Registry for Colorectal Cancer.
Dr Chan is an expert in both open and minimally-invasive surgeries. He is skilled & experienced in handling various surgeries inclusive of emergency situations, employing both open and minimally-invasive techniques in the area of General Surgery, namely Thyroid, Breast, Gastrointestinal & Anorectal, Vascular and Hernia Surgery.
He also has extensive experience in both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for both Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy. |
