True to its roots as a dedicated home-grown medical provider, Tropicana Medical Centre’s Accident & Emergency (A&E) Department offers 24-hours emergency care services for Life’s unexpected moments.
Whether a wrecking cough, spiking fever or drilling pain that keeps you up all night or a serious life-threatening accident in the day, you can be assured that our team of experienced medical officers and trained emergency nurses are on standby at all times, day and night.
Patients who arrive are first screened on a Triage System to assess the clinical severity of their condition. Patients with the most critical medical cases will be given priority, hence there is no ‘first come, first served’ order. Where necessary, the Consultant Specialists on-call will be contacted to assist in the diagnosis and treatment.
The waiting time is estimated as follows:
YELLOW: Within 30 minutes
GREEN: Within 90 minutes
In an emergency situation, please head to the A&E Department located at the Ground Floor, on the left side of the Main Entrance. The A&E Department is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.
It is an emergency if you experience:
- Severe chest pains or other symptoms associated with a heart attack
- Difficulty breathing
- Paediatric or neonatal distress
- Severe stomach pain
- Severe bleeding
- Fainting or loss of consciousness
- Sudden body weakness, slurred speech or other symptoms associated with a stroke
- Convulsions, fits or seizure
- Road accidents
- Fractures, bone dislocation or severe sprain
On top of that, Tropicana Medical Centre now has our own ambulance to reach you even faster during a medical crisis. Call for the A&E Ambulance Service at 03-6287 1999 if you need immediate medical assistance. Our trained paramedics and experienced ambulance staff will be able to assist you in an emergency.
